Observability without shipping another agent

Most enterprises already emit enough signals — the work is joining application events to path context, not installing more probes.

Pressure to “add observability” often arrives as a request for new agents. For enterprise network observability, the higher leverage move is usually taxonomy: attach stable path, region, and interconnect properties to the application events you already collect.

We see teams drown in duplicate flow records while product journeys still lack a path identifier. Start with the events operators already open during incidents. Enrich those first. Retire agents that only duplicate what a cleaner property dictionary would reveal.

Instrumentation quality beats instrumentation volume — especially across regulated network boundaries where every new agent needs a change window.
